Abstract:
Observations of type Ia supernovae (SN Ia) have revealed them to beexcellent tools with which to survey the Universe, providing us with the ability to measure very precise extragalactic SN Ia Hubble diagram. I'll discuss some new results in our study of nearby SN Ia, including potential systematics for precision cosmology, as well as the identification of a new, perplexing subclass of subluminous SN Ia.
