Dark Matter Searches with GLAST

Abstract:

The GLAST Large Area Telescope (LAT) is in it's final stage of integration and test at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. I will give an update on how it's going and show pictures. I will discuss how to use GLAST to search for WIMP dark matter annihilation gamma rays, starting with overall strategy, and focusing on a few example analyses. I will also discuss how GLAST will complement other dark matter searches. As time permits, I will touch on other GLAST "hot topics", like searches for variability in sources and the relevance to underlying astrophysics.
